Women Trafficking

Women Trafficking

Women are not thought of as people.
They have become items that can be bought and sold to the highest
bidder. The photo with the barcode tells us how easy it is simply pay for a human sex slave. The convenience with which people have allowed this is horrible.

The question asks "ARE YOU INTERESTED?" Why would that question be relevant? People like to turn their face to images like this. People like to believe that is is not a problem that concerns them. Turning ones face away from this image will not stop it from happening. The problem is out there. According to the CIA an "estimated that in the US there are between 45,000 and 50,000 enslaved women and children, taken there under false pretences and forced to work as prostitutes." This is in the United States the land of liberty although it is not for everyone at the present time.

Some women have to endure something that is called gang rape. The name pretty much sums it all up. Woman and girls are raped time and time again in a short amount of time. Women lose all self esteem and self worth. This is not something we want and person to have to endure with. Pimps exploit the women by making them do this and other sex favors to the men who pay them. Once the women are in this vicious cycle it is very difficult and to escape it.

According to the June 2005 State Department report on trafficking, it’s the third most lucrative criminal activity in the world. Most of these girls will not complain and it is easy for the ones in charge to take all the money. Many of these girls were deceived into coming into other countries. They came for better opportunities. They did not expect to be part of the sex trade. Their “owners” force them into the trade and make an enormous amount of money off of them. The huge profit that is made will normally not be enjoyed by the actual worker. These “lords” are not only making money off of them when they force them into having sex but also when they sell them to other people. Women who are economically challenged are the ones who seem to be the most vulnerable to trafficking
